A little elephant is envious of the giraffe’s great height.  He does the first thing that comes to mind to help him reach just as high.  What’s not to love about a giraffe on stilts?

I had to run in through the press 3 times because I used the same giraffe plate 3 times. That means there is a great risk of ruining the print….if the plate is not lined up just right, or the paper or the plate slips as I crank it through, or if the ink isn’t wiped the same on each one.

The chameleon blends itself into the background as a camouflage.  What if the background looked like the chameleon?  Would you still see it?

The chameleon was created using oil pastels. Then, with Photoshop, I used the same chameleon, multiplied several times and placed at varying angles, and then blurred to create the background.

The gingerbread man knew it was “that time of year”.  He had heard about what was coming for them.  He hoped it would not take him.  Then he saw it….a giant hand…somehow attached to that drooling mouth behind it.  He began to sweat.  His heart was pounding so hard he thought it might pop one of his sugary, blue buttons.  He wanted to run, to scream out, but it was no use.  His legs would not move….like they were baked that way.  It felt like hours, but it was only seconds, and then it was over.  He was safe.  “Whew!”  But she was gone….she was gone!!…Oh well, she talked too much anyway.

Opening box after box, just to find another smaller box inside turned out to be a fatal prank. Was it the best gift ever? He’ll never know, but circumstances would suggest otherwise.
